Phone Setup (One-time setup)

Using either an Android or iPhone, connect the phone to the internet and check that you have a working internet connection. If your school uses a proxy, ask the schools IT department for the proxy settings and connect to the internet.  Note: You only need one phone per tripod and mat and the phone does not require a SIM card.

Visit the Android Play Store or Apple App Store and search, download and install “Kai’s Eye Robot Tracker” and start the “Kai’s Eye” app. 

In Kai’s Eye app, select “QR scan” and then scan the serial number barcode printed outside of the Kai’s Clan box or on the cover of the Quick Start Guide included in your pack.

Roll out the Kai’s Clan Adventure Mat on the floor, ensuring you have space to walk around the mat.

Ensure the mat is clear and nothing is placed onto it. Ensure there is no direct sunlight shining on the mat.

‘One time’ phone camera calibration. In the Kai’s Eye app Select “Tracking” and this will start the camera calibration (if the phone’s camera has never been calibrated)
